2019 Request for Pre-Proposals in Water Research

Oklahoma Competitive Water Research Grants Program [USGS 104(b)] 
OSU VPR Produced Water Research Grants Competition

The Oklahoma Water Resources Center invites pre-proposals for water research projects from faculty members (up to $25,000) and graduate students (up to $5,000) through two programs: 

  1. the U.S. Geological Survey 104(b) grants program (available to researchers at any institute of higher education in Oklahoma 
  2. OSU VPR Produced Water Research Grants Competition (available only to Oklahoma State University researchers investigating treatment and reuse of produced water)

The application process begins with one-page pre-proposals. Multiple pre-proposals representing distinct research projects from the same researcher are welcome. Pre-proposals must be submitted in Word format, be single-spaced in 10-pt Arial font, have 1-inch margins, and be no more than one page in length. Applicants are strongly encouraged to use the template found here

Send pre-proposals to water@okstate.edu by Friday, June 15, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. Pre-proposals received after this deadline will not be reviewed. 

Our Water Research Advisory Board will meet in mid-July to select a subset of projects to continue in the competition based on the pre-proposal’s quality and potential to address research priorities.
