    • October 2, 2015 In-Service: Groundwater Issues in Oklahoma
      • In recent years, there has been more concern in Oklahoma about ground water quality and quantity. The increased interest has been in part due to drought and in part due to expansion of the oil and gas industry to new areas of the state. In an effort to prepare educators to better address clientele questions about groundwater issues, an in-service training will be held in on October 2 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
      • Below is the tentative agenda for the training:
          -  Introduction to Groundwater Hydrology – Garey Fox, OSU
          -  Irrigation – Saleh Taghvaeian, OSU
          -  OWRB Groundwater Information – Chris Neel, OWRB
          -  Selecting Pumps and Groundwater Equipment – Scott Frazier, OSU
          -  Interpreting Water Quality Tests – Hailin Zhang, OSU
      • Visit our "Groundwater" page or YouTube playlist to view the videos recorded from that in-service.
    • January 29, 2015 In-Service: Oklahoma Youth Water Education Program
      • This new program educates youth about the importance of water, one of our most precious resources! The Youth Water Education In-Service was a full day of training and fun as we explored this new adventure.  Training was January 29th at the Pontotoc County Extension Office (1700 N. Broadway, Ada) at the Pontotoc County AgriPlex.
      • Participants went home with a flash drive with curriculum and other resources, including a Dropbox invitation where materials are uploaded.
      • The goal of this program was to implement the Oklahoma 4H2O Water Fairs through school enrichment, with 4-H clubs, day camps or overnight camps. There is a variety of ways to share the program!
