The Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at Oklahoma State University (OSU) is offering one Graduate Research Assistantships (GRA) in Water Resources for qualified Ph.D. students to begin in Fall or Spring 2025. The selected candidate(s) will join the Hydrological Extremes Lab.
The Hydrological Extremes Lab at OSU conducts advanced research on flooding and drought,
addressing major challenges in modeling and managing these natural hazards. Ph.D.
students in the lab are expected to utilize a broad range of physical and statistical
techniques, including hydrologic/hydrodynamic models, geospatial methods with GIS,
machine learning, and data assimilation methods. We encourage applications from motivated
and talented individuals with strong quantitative skills, an interest in working with
big data using high-performance computing systems, creative problem-solving abilities,
and experience in at least one programming language (preferably Python).
