The American Society for Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) 2013 Report Card awarded Oklahoma
a grade of C- on overall infrastructure. More troubling, the ASCE graded Oklahoma’s
water infrastructure a D+, citing the “significant financial burden” facing the state
because the “majority of existing water infrastructure has aged beyond its useful
life.” Investing in our infrastructure is vital for our quality of life and securing
adequate safe water for recreation and consumption.
